Prohaize has released materials that have opened doors such as the one on June 16th, 2012 where he opened up for Hot 107.9 FM’s Birthday Bash Concert in Philips Arena located in downtown Atlanta, GA in front of a sold out audience of over 25,000 people. This concert was headlined by T.I., Rick Ross, Kelly Rowland, Usher, Lil Wayne and many more. After residing in Ghana for the first nine years of his life, Prohaize relocated to the United States. At the early age of thirteen, he set out to make a name for himself within the Atlanta metropolitan area as a musician, specifically in Hip Hop. This gave birth to the name "Prohaize;" meaning that he knows how to advantageously transgress over obstacles or as he refers to it, "A Pro at getting high successfully." When asked about why he started making music, his response was "I plan to share the drastic stories of African upbringings and sociological American experiences. Doing this will help me generate the money to help those very people that the stories are about." Since releasing his debut project Lift A Finger EP, in March 2012, Prohaize has grown exponentially in his artistry, live performance prowess and has expanded the connection he carries with his fan base. Prohaize expects to continue sharing stories of "drastic African upbringings and sociological American experiences" with the release of his African Born American Raised Mixtape due in 2013. His most recent accomplishment stems from being booked to perform in Underground Atlanta's 2013 New Years Eve Peach Drop. Although it's the largest New Years Eve celebration in the Southeastern US, Prohaize's involvement aided in the success of the event reaching over 100,000 in attendance.
"..back to Prohaize... a promising argument for the presence of something more in rap music. He sounds like a man with something to say. A man with a talent to construct quickly intricate phrases and perfectly put them together in a frantic spiel about whatever he wants to say." |
